WebScrub—an innovative SRMG process—is an important part of any EP program. It adds a distinct layer of protection to the overall EP plan and reduces vulnerability by decreasing the visibility of PII on the Web, in public databases, and elsewhere.

(PII is information that can be used [either alone or in conjunction with other sources] to uniquely identify, contact, or locate an individual. This large data set is comprised of several subsets, one of which is personal contact information such as an individual’s name, residential address, residential telephone number, cell phone number, e-mail address, etc.)
